Located just minutes from the closest metro stop, this is one of the most accessible hikes from downtown. Difficulty level: Easy. Distance, one way: 1.2 kilometres (0.75 miles) The normal recommend route to the viewing point is only about 30 mins, this is good BUT if you want a long scenic and BEAUTIFUL WALK just follow the path straight up from where you get off the metro in vettakollen and you will walk for about 20 minutes- past the normal route on your right- and you'll see a path at the top. If you follow this and keep going 'right' down path choices you will reach the viewing point after about 2 hours.

Go to the right on Gulleråsveien, and then to the left on Bånntjernveien and follow it to the woods behind the buildings. From here there’s a well-marked trail to the top. Fine view!
